Professional Website Design Cost in Tampa
What a Tampa website actually costs in 2026. $3K, $8K, $15K tiers broken down — what each gets you, what moves the price, no quote theater.
Most Tampa web design agencies will not tell you what they charge until you book a call. We think that is silly. If you cannot afford a $5,000 website, you should not have to sit through a sales call to find that out. And if you can, you should not have to wait three days for a proposal email to know what your project is going to cost.
So here is what a professional Tampa website actually costs in 2026, broken down by tier, with what moves the price up or down. The numbers below are real. They are on our homepage. They have been on our homepage since we opened the doors.
The three tiers, in plain numbers
The vast majority of Tampa Bay small business website builds fall into one of three price bands.
$3,000 — Starter Authority Site
The entry point. Right for a Tampa business that needs to look credible, capture leads, and rank for two or three core local keywords. Not built for category domination, but built honestly and built to last.
Pages: 8 to 12 Timeline: 14 days Best for: Solo operators and small teams doing $500K to $1.5M annually
What you get:
- Homepage designed around your single highest-value offer
- About page
- Services overview, plus 2 to 4 individual service pages
- Contact page with a working form
- 2 to 4 supporting pages (FAQ, testimonials, basic location page, legal)
- Custom WordPress theme based on a tested layout pattern, with your brand applied
- Mobile responsive, accessibility compliant, page speed optimized
- On-page SEO, schema markup, sitemap, Google Search Console setup
- One round of revisions per stage
What you do not get at this tier:
- Programmatic neighborhood page layer
- Blog setup
- Custom photography direction
- Multi-step lead qualification forms
This is the right tier for the Tampa solo HVAC contractor, the single-location dental office, the two-attorney firm in Brandon, or the small accounting practice in Carrollwood. You need a credible site that converts the leads you are already getting. $3K does that.
$5,000 — Standard Authority Site
The typical Tampa small business build. The one we ship most often.
Pages: 25 to 40 Timeline: 14 days Best for: Established Tampa SMBs doing $1.5M to $5M annually
What you get:
- Everything in the Starter tier
- 6 to 12 neighborhood pages (the actual Tampa neighborhoods you serve: South Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel, St. Pete, etc.)
- FAQ section with FAQ schema
- Blog setup with 3 cornerstone articles to start
- Multi-step lead qualification form
- Calendly or Acuity booking integration
- Custom photography direction (we coordinate the shoot, you hire the photographer, or we recommend one of three Tampa photographers we work with)
- Lead routing setup (forms go to the right person on your team)
- Two rounds of revisions per stage
This is where the local SEO compounds. The neighborhood page layer is what turns “show up for one Tampa search” into “show up for thirty Tampa neighborhood searches over the next 12 months.”
$8,000 — Full Authority Site
For Tampa businesses that want to dominate their category.
Pages: 75 to 200+ Timeline: 14 days (the page count is achievable because of programmatic generation; we are not hand-crafting 200 unique pages) Best for: Multi-location, multi-service, or category-dominating Tampa businesses doing $3M to $15M
What you get:
- Everything in the Standard tier
- Programmatic city × service page layer
- Programmatic industry × intent page layer where applicable
- 90-day editorial content calendar for the blog
- 6 to 10 cornerstone articles produced at launch
- Full conversion rate optimization layer (scroll-triggered CTAs, exit intent, A/B test infrastructure)
- 60-day post-launch optimization window
- Custom Gutenberg block library specific to your brand
This is the law firm targeting personal injury across the Bay. The HVAC company servicing five counties. The dental group with four locations. The med spa with aggressive geographic ambitions.
What about a $15,000 or $20,000 build?
Some Tampa projects genuinely need more scope than the $8K tier covers. The price moves up because of specific, identifiable additions, not because the agency wants to charge more.
A $15,000 build typically includes:
- WooCommerce e-commerce layer (we do not do Shopify, only WooCommerce)
- Custom integrations beyond standard CRM and calendar (e.g., a custom appointment engine, a custom quoting tool, an API integration with proprietary software)
- Multilingual setup, typically English + Spanish for Tampa-area service businesses
- A real brand identity sprint as part of the build (logo, full visual identity, brand voice guidelines, in addition to the site)
- 300-plus pages, with a content strategy that goes beyond the standard programmatic layer
- Custom illustration or photography production
A $20,000-plus build typically means we are also doing:
- A complete content production effort (10-plus original long-form articles, with research and SME interviews)
- A staging environment with formal QA processes for an ongoing publishing operation
- Migration from a complex legacy stack (multi-domain consolidation, large legacy URL set requiring careful redirect mapping)
We do not do builds over $50K. That is not our model. If your project needs that scope, we will refer you out to one of three Tampa or Florida agencies we trust for that size.
What we do not charge extra for
Some agencies use these as upsells. We do not.
- Stock photography placement (within reason — high-end licensed stock is extra)
- Basic copywriting (we provide a copy framework and edit your input)
- SSL certificate setup
- Standard plugin licenses
- Up to two rounds of revisions per stage
- Google Analytics 4 and Search Console setup
- Sitemap generation and submission
- Schema markup on standard page types
- Mobile responsive design (this should never be a line item in 2026)
- Accessibility compliance to WCAG 2.1 AA
- 14-day timeline
- 30-day post-launch monitoring window
What moves the price up
These are the line items that legitimately change the budget.
Full copywriting from scratch: +$1,500 to $3,000. If you do not have copy and do not want to write the input we then edit, we will write everything from interview transcripts.
Custom photography (we hire the photographer, art-direct, and integrate): +$1,500 to $4,000 depending on shoot complexity.
WooCommerce e-commerce layer: +$2,500 to $5,000 depending on product catalog size and complexity.
Multilingual setup: +$1,500 per additional language.
Custom illustration or icon system: +$1,000 to $3,000.
Booking systems beyond Calendly or Acuity: +$1,500 to $5,000 depending on integration complexity.
Brand identity sprint (logo, palette, type, brand voice, style guide): +$1,500. This is our standalone Brand Sprint product, sold as part of a build at the same price.
Aggressive content production (10-plus original long-form articles): +$200 to $400 per article depending on research depth.
What moves the price down
These are not common, but they exist.
You provide all final copy. Saves us copy editing time. Worth roughly $500 off a standard build, more on the $8K tier.
You provide all photography. Worth $500 to $1,500 depending on what we would have otherwise sourced.
Smaller scope. If your business genuinely only needs 6 pages, not 12, we will scope that and price accordingly. We have done $2,200 builds for solo professionals where the smaller scope made sense.
What ongoing costs look like
The build is a one-time cost. Running a website has ongoing costs. Here is the honest breakdown for a Tampa small business site.
Hosting: $20 to $50/month if you handle it yourself (we recommend Kinsta, WP Engine, or SiteGround). Included in our Care Plan if you take it.
Domain: $15 to $20/year.
Email (if you do not already have it): $6 to $25 per user per month on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
Care Plan (optional): $200 to $800/month. Covers hosting, updates, security, backups, and a defined number of hours per month for changes.
SEO retainer (optional): $500 to $2,000/month for ongoing SEO work beyond the build. Not needed for every business. Worth it for categories where SEO is your primary acquisition channel.
Paid advertising (optional, separate budget): We do not run paid media. We refer to two Tampa partner agencies for that. Budget for paid media is separate from the website itself.
Total realistic ongoing cost for most Tampa SMBs: $50 to $1,000/month, depending on what you handle yourself.
How we quote
The quote process is short.
- You send us a URL or a description of what you need.
- We send back a free audit reply within one business day. The reply names a tier ($3K, $5K, $8K, or “more, here is why”) and explains the reasoning.
- If you want to proceed, we book a 60-minute discovery call. By the end of that call, you have a final scope and a final price, in writing.
- The proposal is one page. The price is fixed. The timeline is fixed. The scope is named.
We do not do hourly billing. We do not do “open-ended discovery” that runs three weeks and bills $2,000. The discovery is included in the build cost.
The first step
If you want to know what your specific Tampa website will cost — the actual number, not a range — send us your current URL or a description of what you need. You will have a real answer in your inbox within one business day, with no call required.
If you want to read more about how the build itself works, here is the full six-stage process, and here is the main custom website design page.
