We collect the minimum data needed to do our work, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete what we have at any time. This page explains what that means in practice. No legalese, no dark patterns. Last updated 2026-05-14.

What we collect

Two categories, kept separate:

Anonymous analytics from every visitor

When you visit any page on webdesigntampaflorida.org, our analytics records:

  • The page you visited and the page you came from
  • Your approximate location (city level, never street-level)
  • Your browser, operating system, and device type
  • How long you stayed on the page and what you clicked

This data is anonymous and aggregated. We use it to figure out which pages are working and which need improvement. We don’t try to identify you from it.

We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled. You can opt out anytime via Google’s opt-out or by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser.

Information you give us deliberately

When you fill out a form, send us an email, or book a call, you give us:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your business name, website URL, and industry
  • Project details you share with us
  • Phone number, if you choose to give it

We use this only to reply to your inquiry and run the engagement if you become a client. We don’t add you to a newsletter automatically. We don’t share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We don’t sell lists.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell, rent, or trade your contact information. Ever.
  • We don’t run retargeting or remarketing pixels on the site. No Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads conversion pixels for retargeting outside our own analytics.
  • We don’t use dark patterns to hide unsubscribe links, opt-out paths, or data-deletion requests.
  • We don’t track you across other websites.

Cookies

We use cookies for:

  • Analytics (Google Analytics, 24-month retention) — anonymous, aggregated
  • Site functionality (WordPress session cookies for admin/login only; you won’t get these as a visitor)
  • CDN performance (LiteSpeed cache, sets short-lived cookies for cache routing)

We do not use:

  • Marketing or advertising cookies
  • Third-party tracking pixels
  • Cross-site trackers

You can disable cookies in your browser at any time. Disabling analytics cookies won’t affect site functionality.

How long we keep your data

  • Email correspondence: 7 years (for tax and contract recordkeeping)
  • Project files for past clients: 7 years (in case you need them later)
  • Analytics data: 24 months, then auto-deleted by Google
  • Form submissions that didn’t convert: 12 months, then deleted

If you want us to delete sooner, email us — we’ll do it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Send you everything we have on you — email request, 30-day response window
  • Correct any wrong information we have
  • Delete everything we have on you — within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (tax records, contract records)
  • Stop processing your data for any purpose

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@webdesigntampaflorida.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

Florida-specific notes

Florida doesn’t currently have a state-level consumer privacy law like California’s CCPA or Virginia’s VCDPA. However, we apply the same rights to Florida visitors as we would to California visitors — because it’s the right thing to do, not because we’re forced to.

If you’re a California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah resident, the applicable state privacy law gives you rights we honor (see “Your rights” above).

Third parties we use

For transparency, here’s everyone who could theoretically see anonymized data about your visit:

  • Google Analytics — anonymous traffic data (you can opt out)
  • Cloudflare or LiteSpeed CDN — caches static assets for performance
  • Our hosting provider — server logs for technical purposes only
  • Gravity Forms (when you submit) — form data passes through their service to reach us; their privacy policy: gravityforms.com/privacy

We never share data with social networks, ad networks, data brokers, or analytics aggregators beyond the above.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes (anything that affects your rights or what data we collect) will be announced via a banner on the site for at least 14 days.
