№ 01 · The problem

Your site isn’t broken. It’s just not selling.

Most Tampa Bay SMBs we audit have a site that looks okay. The phone just doesn’t ring. Four things are usually going on — and aesthetic redesigns alone never fix them.

01 / 04
Problem 01 — Visibility

“My competitor shows up on Google. We don’t.”

Local SEO isn’t a plugin. It’s URL structure, schema, Google Business Profile alignment, and content silos — designed in from the first wireframe, not bolted on after. If your designer never used the words “schema” or “internal linking,” that’s the diagnosis.

Common diagnosis: the site was built as a brochure, not as a discoverable structure.

Problem 02 — Conversion

“People visit, then leave without calling.”

Your hero copy is a feature list. Your CTA is buried below the fold. Mobile users can’t tap your phone number without scrolling. Conversion isn’t a mystery — it’s mechanical. We fix the mechanics; you watch the form fills go up.

Common diagnosis: the site asks the visitor to work harder than your competitor’s does.

Problem 03 — Differentiation

“The site looks like everyone else’s in our category.”

Template fatigue is real. When every HVAC site in Brandon uses the same Wix layout, the only differentiator left is price. Custom design isn’t vanity — it’s defensible margin. We design around your business, not a Squarespace template thousands of other shops also bought.

Common diagnosis: the site signals “indistinguishable” before the visitor even reads a word.

Problem 04 — Trust

“I got burned by my last designer and don’t trust anyone.”

We work in milestones with fixed deliverables. You own everything we build — site, copy, access, source files. No proprietary lock-in, no surprise invoices, no ghosting. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you in the first call and refer you out.

Our position: if you can’t take the site to another developer tomorrow, we built it wrong.

№ 02 · The targets

The numbers we design to.

Authority sites we build are designed to put clients on page one of Google for their head terms inside 60 days, and to hit these benchmarks by month six. We’re a new studio so we won’t pretend we have years of aggregate proof — but here are the levers, and how each one moves a specific number.

Target

Target

2.5s
LCP ceiling — Core Web Vitals “Good”
Standard
100%
WCAG 2.1 AA on every shipped page
Beat 01 — Why 3× organic is reachable

Most Tampa SMB sites have three usable pages. We ship 80+ from launch — service pages, neighborhood pages, FAQ clusters — all interlinked, all keyword-targeted.

More surface area for Google to index. More questions answered. More chances to rank. The traffic curve isn’t magic — it’s structure meeting volume.

Beat 02 — Why 2× conversion is mechanical

Most existing sites ask visitors to find the phone number. The sites we build put it two thumbs from the home button — and offer four other ways to convert.

Click-to-call, sticky CTA bar, multi-step audit form, embedded scheduling. The visitor picks the path. We instrument every one in GA4 so we know which works.

Beat 03 — Why LCP under 2.5s isn’t negotiable

Most Tampa sites carry 11 plugins they don’t use. Six page builders. Three trackers. A 4MB hero image. We don’t ship that.

LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1, TBT under 200ms. Google’s Core Web Vitals “Good” thresholds, cleared on every build before launch. Not aspirational — required.

Beat 04 — Why WCAG 2.1 AA is the floor

Accessibility isn’t a checkbox at the end. It’s contrast tokens, focus states, semantic HTML, and ARIA baked into the design system from day one.

Standard practice for us, legal requirement for many of our clients (healthcare, legal, government, education). We ship audited or we don’t ship.

№ 03 · The services

Eight services. Pricing on every card.

We don’t make you book a call to find out if you can afford us. Most full builds land in the $3K–$8K range. Scroll to see what each costs and what it includes.

№ 04 · A typical engagement

What a real engagement looks like, beat by beat.

Here’s a composite of a typical home-services engagement — drawn from the kind of work we built our methodology around. As we ship real client cases, this section gets replaced with verified case studies.

A vintage litho-style illustration of a Tampa South-side rooftop with Spanish-Mediterranean clay tiles, sun rays overhead, rendered as a four-color stone lithograph — composite of a typical home-services engagement. Composite engagement · Home services vertical
Composite case  ·  Home services vertical  ·  ~7 week build  ·  Modeled outcome
Note: This is an illustrative engagement, not a single named client. Real case studies with verified results launch under /work as engagements complete.
Phase 01 — Audit

The starting line: page 3 of Google, 1–2% form conversion.

A typical Tampa Bay home-services site we audit: loads in 5–7 seconds. Phone number sits in an image in the footer. Three pages, no service detail, no neighborhood landing pages. Often paying $3K–$5K/mo on Google Ads because organic is invisible.

5–7s Baseline site LCP
Phase 02 — Strategy

We map the real revenue jobs, not the volume jobs.

Many home-services owners ask for “more leads.” We start with “more profitable leads.” For a roofing client, that’s replacement > repair. For HVAC, that’s install > service. The site gets restructured around the high-value job, by neighborhood, with insurance and financing pages where applicable.

15–25 Service × neighborhood pages built
Phase 03 — Build

Custom theme. Phone-first mobile UX. 7 weeks.

We ship a fully custom theme — not an industry template you’ll see on three competitor sites. Schema markup, Google Business Profile alignment, click-to-call in the sticky header, multi-step quote form. Client signs off on every phase. No surprises at launch.

<2s Target post-launch LCP
Phase 04 — Launch & measure

By month 3, organic traffic is materially ahead of paid.

What we design for: top-3 organic for the head term, top-5 for 10+ neighborhood terms, organic traffic crossing paid by month four. Every client gets a 30-day post-launch review with real GA4 data, not vanity metrics. If targets are missed, we work the variance.

A working principle

We’d rather lose the project by being honest in the first call than win it and quietly resent the relationship for a year.

№ 05 · How we work

Four phases. 14 days. Fixed price.

You always know what’s happening, what’s next, and what it costs. Authority sites ship in 14 days. Redesigns in 10. The progress bar above moves as we move.

Phase 01 · Days 0–2

Audit

We map your buyer journey, your keyword universe, and the topical footprint of every competitor. You get a written strategy doc — yours to keep whether we work together or not.

Phase 02 · Days 2–4

Architecture

We design the cluster: pillar pages, supporting pages, internal link graph, schema strategy. You sign off before any production starts. No surprises at launch.

Phase 03 · Days 4–11

Content + Design

AI-accelerated production with senior editing on every page. Custom WordPress theme, brand-system layouts. Staging URL you can review daily.

Phase 04 · Days 11–14

Ship + Handoff

Launch. Submit sitemap to Google Search Console. Monitor index coverage. 30-day post-launch review with actual analytics — not vanity metrics.

Interlude · Questions Tampa SMBs ask

Eight questions, straight answers.

The questions we actually get on the first call. Honest answers — same ones we’d give in person.

What’s actually included in the $3,000 Authority Site?

Custom WordPress theme. A 60-keyword content thesis built from your competitors. 100–200+ pages on a single brand framework — pillar pages, supporting pages, FAQ clusters, neighborhood pages. AI-generated imagery in your brand style. WooCommerce optional. Sitemap submission to Google Search Console. Live in 14 days. The price is fixed before we start; you sign off on scope at Phase 02 and there are no change orders without sign-off.

How is 14 days realistic? Other agencies quote 12 weeks.

Two reasons. First: we don’t reinvent the wheel. We have a battle-tested authority-site framework — what changes per client is brand, copy, and topical thesis, not the underlying structure. Second: we use AI for production acceleration (with senior editing on every page) instead of grinding through 60 pages by hand. That’s how 12 weeks becomes 14 days. The trade-off: we don’t custom-build experimental brand systems from scratch on a $3K engagement — that’s the Brand Sprint product ($1,500, also 5 days).

What happens if my site doesn’t hit page one in 60 days?

“Most clients see first-page rankings inside 60 days” is what we design for — not a guarantee. Google’s algorithm doesn’t accept performance bonds. If we miss, we work the variance: we’ll do a free 30-day diagnostic, identify the gap (content, links, technical), and either fix it on a fixed-price re-engagement or refer you to a specialist if it’s outside our craft. We tell you in the first call if your category has known headwinds — we’d rather lose the deal than oversell.

Who owns the site after we’re done?

You. Site files, copy, source theme, WordPress admin, Google Search Console, hosting account, domain registrar (if we set it up), GA4 property — all transferred to your accounts on day 14. If you ever leave us, you walk away with everything. No proprietary builders, no platform lock, no “we’ll send your files for an additional fee” theater. If you can’t take this site to another developer tomorrow, we built it wrong.

Can I cancel the Care Plan anytime?

Yes. Month-to-month, cancel with 7 days’ notice. No auto-renewal traps, no cancellation fee, no “minimum 12 months” lock. We’d rather earn your renewal every month by being useful than trap you with a contract.

What does the $500 SEO Audit get me, specifically?

A 12–20 page written report on your current site covering: crawl + indexability issues, content gaps vs. your top 3 competitors, intent-mapping (where your buyer is in the funnel vs. where your pages serve them), competitive topical-footprint analysis, and a prioritized fix list. Delivered in 5 business days. Refundable in full against any build engagement — so if we end up working together, the audit is effectively free, and if we don’t, you have a report you can act on with any other developer.

Do you work outside Tampa Bay?

Yes, but selectively. We’re a Tampa-anchored studio — that’s our local-SEO advantage. We take Florida clients freely (Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale), and out-of-state clients on referral or for businesses we have personal context for. Our Multi-Metro Expansion product is built specifically for established clients who want to replicate their Tampa playbook in another market. We don’t do paid acquisition outside Florida.

Why don’t you list a phone number?

Deliberately. We do our best work asynchronously — written audits, considered responses, no high-pressure phone calls. If you want a real conversation, the audit form gives us enough context to schedule one within a business day. We answer in writing first, then jump on a call when there’s something specific to discuss. Saves your time and ours.
