See If We’re a Fit
Three gates Tampa Bay prospects pass before we’ll quote a project. Revenue, platform, vertical. Honest qualification, no sales theater. Read in two minutes.
This page exists to save you a discovery call we shouldn’t be having. We’ve built our model around a specific kind of client. If you don’t fit, that’s not a judgment — it’s a referral path to someone who serves your scale better than we would. Read the three gates, see where you land, and either book a conversation or grab a referral.
Gate 1 — Revenue
Annual revenue between $1M and $20M.
This isn’t snobbery — it’s pricing math. Below $1M, our $3K–$8K build cost is a meaningful chunk of your revenue. The ROI math gets fragile. There are good freelancers in Tampa and good DIY tools (Squarespace, Wix, Webflow) that fit that band better. We refer those prospects out without trying to talk them into something larger than they need.
Above $20M, the scope expectations change. You need a project manager, a content strategist, brand stakeholders across three departments, a security review, a vendor onboarding process. We don’t run that operation. The result is either we under-serve you or we balloon the engagement to $50K+ chasing every requirement — neither outcome is good. We refer enterprise prospects to national agencies that staff for that scope.
You pass this gate if: revenue between $1M and $20M (last full fiscal year is fine; forward-looking projections aren’t).
Gate 2 — Platform
WordPress or non-Shopify ecommerce only.
Our entire team works in WordPress. Custom block themes, WooCommerce, theme.json design tokens, Gutenberg native blocks, LiteSpeed hosting. We’re fast, opinionated, and good at this stack.
We do not build on:
- Shopify — different stack, different mental model. Tampa has Shopify specialists who do that work better. We refer out.
- Wix / Squarespace / Webflow — fine for hobby sites or sub-$1M businesses. If you’re outgrowing one, we’ll migrate you to WordPress as part of a redesign engagement. We just don’t build new sites on those platforms.
- HubSpot CMS / Sitecore / proprietary enterprise platforms — wrong scope tier and wrong economics.
If your current site is on Wix or Squarespace and you’re ready to leave the platform, that’s exactly the engagement we do — see Website Redesign for the migration path.
You pass this gate if: willing to land on WordPress (existing or new), or already on WordPress and need a rebuild.
Gate 3 — Vertical
Service businesses or B2B/SaaS — not hard-DTC retail.
The verticals where our playbook compounds:
- Home services — HVAC, roofing, plumbing, pool, pest control, landscaping, restoration
- Professional services — legal, accounting, real estate, financial advisory, consulting
- Healthcare — med spas, dental, PT, chiropractic, behavioral health, specialty practices
- Hospitality — restaurants, breweries, event venues, catering, hotels (boutique scale)
- B2B & SaaS — Tampa-based or remote-with-Tampa-presence, $1M–$20M ARR
The verticals where we’re not the right fit:
- DTC retail ecommerce — we’ll do WooCommerce for a service-business client adding a product line, but we don’t lead with hard-DTC retail. Tampa has DTC specialists who beat us at this.
- Adult, gambling, crypto, MLM — not because we judge, but because the SEO and compliance landscape is different enough that our playbook doesn’t transfer cleanly.
- One-off “I just need a brochure site” below the qualification revenue gate — see Gate 1 referral path.
You pass this gate if: service business, B2B/SaaS, or service-business-with-product-line in one of the verticals above.
All three gates? Three doors in.
If you passed all three gates, you’re our client type. Three ways to start, ordered by commitment:
Lowest commitment — the $500 SEO audit
$500 written SEO audit — refundable against any build engagement. 12–20 page report covering technical SEO, content gaps, conversion issues. Best path if you’re not sure yet whether a redesign is worth it.
Medium commitment — a written brief
Send a 5-minute brief. We reply within one business day with a written scope draft and a price, or a referral if something looks off after reading. No call required to get pricing.
Direct — book the 30-minute call
If you’ve already read the services and approach pages and you want to talk through a specific project, book the 30-minute call directly. We’ll have a written scope and price by the end of it.
Didn’t pass a gate? Here’s where to go.
We genuinely mean the referrals — these aren’t politeness moves.
- Under $1M revenue, simple brochure site → Squarespace for fastest setup; Wix for more visual customization; or look at Tampa freelancers on Bark or local Facebook groups.
- Over $20M, need a national agency → WebFX, Bayshore Solutions (Tampa enterprise), Big Sea (St. Pete).
- Shopify-specific → Tampa Shopify partners directory; Underwaterpistol for enterprise Shopify Plus.
- DTC retail / consumer brand → search “Tampa Shopify expert” or “Tampa DTC agency” — multiple good options at every price band.
- Paid media management → Tampa partners we refer to include ROI Amplified (paid media focused) and Sparxoo (full-service marketing).
Pass the gates? Let’s go.
